Throughout my career, I place the idea of enthusiastic service at the forefront of my work, relationships with people, and who I am as a person. I bring a decade of experience managing and leading people in technical environments. My constant search for knowledge and skills has allowed me to find success and joy in my work. As a Certified Scrum Master, I find so much fulfillment in leading my team as we complete goals and projects quickly and effectively. I strive to bring a sense of creativity when I problem solve as it brings innovation.

I bring experience from a career in program management and as a flight attendant. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Southern University. I transitioned to the role of CSM to take advantage of my interpersonal and leadership skills while working in environments requiring ingenuity and precision. As a leader, I focus on treating my team with respect, kindness, and understanding because I believe they function at their highest abilities when they feel heard. We achieve at higher rates because everyone is able to contribute fully and build off one another.

I chose to become a CSM after hearing about how much my cousin enjoyed her career. It feels like everyone is complaining about their job, but she lit up in a rare way speaking about hers. Inspired by her enthusiasm, I did my research and really appreciated the ideology and work that goes into the work. I pursued and became a Certified Scrum Master. The values of courage, focus, commitment, respect, and openness had always been an unnamed central ideal I live and work by. I really love being part of a team built on equality and democracy along with the variety of departments and work I do.

Working with Scrum and Agile ensures I’m never doing the same things day to day. There is always an interesting project, difficult problem, skill to be learned, which allows me to continually learn and grow in my knowledge and capabilities. It really allows my organizational, time management, and high work ethic to shine. Working in a technical field that requires an understanding of several skills all at once. Being able to help my teammates grow and develop their own skills is an incredible way of using my management and leadership skills and better create an Agile environment. There are so many exciting aspects of the job that I look forward to being a part of daily.
